Physical Security Systems (PSS) >> |
Surveillance is the monitoring of the behavior, activities, or other changing information,
usually of people for the purpose of influencing, managing, directing, or protecting. Surveillance can be the observation
of individuals or groups by government organizations but can also relate to disease surveillance, which monitors the progress
of a disease in a community while not directly observing individuals. |
The word surveillance is the French word for "watching over"; "sur" means
"from above" and "veiller" means "to watch". Surveillance is very useful to governments
and law enforcement to maintain social control, recognize and monitor threats, and prevent/investigate criminal activity. |
Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) made significant advances in features and functions, taking advantage
of fast computer processors and high density storage media to digitize, compress and record video from analog cameras.
Newer cameras today have embedded processors that enable video to be compressed within the device and transmitted real-time
over IP networks to Network Video Recorders (NVRs) that centrally manage video feeds from many IP cameras. |

Access Control |
Access control is a system which enables an authority to control access to areas and resources
in a given physical facility or define control for entering in particular premises. |
Access control is the selective restriction of access
to a place or other resource. The act of accessing may mean consuming, entering, or using. Permission to access a resource is called authorization.

Command and Control Center (CCC) |
A Command and Control Center is a specialized type of command
center operated by a government or municipal agency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Various branches of the Military such
as the Coast Guard and Navy have command and control centers. |
A Command and Control Center operates as the agency's dispatch center, surveillance monitoring center, coordination office and alarm monitoring center all in one. |
" A command center enables the real-time visibility and management of an
entire service operation. Similar to an air traffic control center, a command center
allows organizations to view the status of global service calls, service technicians,
and service parts on a single screen. In addition, customer commitments or service level
agreements (SLAs) that have been made can also be programmed into the command center and
monitored to ensure all are met and customers are satisfied. |

Integrated Perimeter Security Solutions |
Holistic perimeter security systems involve the integration of multiple technologies to ensure that the
perimeter not only provides a physical and electronic deterrent but also detects and monitors intruders through
sensors and video surveillance, controls site access by managing and verifying individual's identity and enforces
site access policy using integrated perimeter security and access control system. |
Perimeter Security Systems not only offer a deterrent to would-be attackers, but also approach
perimeter security as part of the wider integrated security strategy, forming the first and critical
physical point of access to an organisation's site. The system ensures management of staff and contractor
access on and off site; induction validation and safety and compliance policy are met at point of entry,
ensuring a safe and competent workforce and reducing the risk of accident and/or operational discontinuity. |

Solutions Benefits |
IP based Security Surveillance Solution is deployed in some of the most demanding security environments
industry vertical. Critical Infrastructure – Ports, Power, Oil & Gas, Transportation, BFSI, Pharmaceutical
& Healthcare. Security Infrastructure – Home Land Security, Safe City Projects. This solutionss delivers the reliability,
investment protection, flexibility, and authenticity assurance that public safety agencies require, without necessitating
a costly and disruptive system upgrade. |
With IP Based Video Surveillance, can achieve the following benefits: |
Improved security:
IP Video Surveillance provides real-time access to video cameras and anytime, anywhere access to security operations,
extending your security reach and helping reduce losses. Unique digital features, such as video access via keyboard,
freeze frames, real time digital zoom, and image export, support faster response, investigation, and resolutions of incidents. |
Reduced expenses:
With a single, unified surveillance system, you can eliminate redundant CCTV infrastructure and system maintenance costs, while saving on storage and equipment space. In addition, IP Video Surveillance offers high availability and reliability that translates to less maintenance and increased surveillance capabilities. |
Investment protection:
IP Video Surveillance Solution preserves your existing investment
in surveillance equipment through a smooth "pay as you go"
migration approach that enables you to start with a hybrid analog and IP system and then move to an all IP system as your business needs dictate.
Because you can use your existing displays, controls, cameras, and matrix switches, you won't need to upgrade that equipment or invest in operator
retraining. The standards-based IP solutionss is also interoperable with equipment and software from many third-party vendors. |
